Multiple breaking and deprecation changes across Plaid APIs, including removal of account subtypes, upcoming subdivision of home equity/commercial subtypes, removal of investment transaction subtypes, deprecation of Cash Flow Updates (replaced by Servicing), Signal consent now required, and Plaid Check products must be explicitly requested in the products array or calls will fail with PRODUCT_NOT_REQUESTED.

Plaid's September 3, 2026 changelog introduces numerous changes including CRA Servicing GA (replacing deprecated Cash Flow Updates), new investment transaction subtype removals, Chase consent/TAN expiration warnings, new webhooks, and many new endpoints and fields across Auth, Identity Verification, Income, Investments, Signal, and Virtual Accounts. Several deprecations are also announced, including Cash Flow Updates (migrate by August 20, 2027) and investment transaction subtypes.

Multiple breaking and deprecation changes across Plaid APIs, including enforcement of Signal consent requirements, mandatory consumer_report_permissible_purpose field, removal of Enrich recurrence object, and deprecation of several SDK APIs and model fields. The Signal consent enforcement (June 16, 2026) is the most impactful, returning ADDITIONAL_CONSENT_REQUIRED errors for non-consented Items.
